Our active international commitment comes from idea that our global future is interconnected our urban challenges are common. We strongly believe that cities in Romania can play a more active role in establishing a global urban agenda, while also making contributions based on their own experience.
We organized an exchange about the process of urbanization and spatial planning instruments currently used in Romania and Colombia in the context of the World Urban Forum 7.
We presented the experience of urban education projects implemented by the Urban INC at “Contested Prague”, a conference on participatory practices associated with local development processes.
We were invited to present a paper on our experience with participatory processes at the AESOP Young Academics Forum (ninth edition). The conference is the annual event to of the prestigious international network AESOP – Association of European Schools of Planning – dedicated to research in architecture, design and urban development.
We hosted alongside the London School of Economics, a workshop on Bucharest’s experience as a laboratory for the analysis of urban development in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
We organized an international workshop on participatory practices in urban development processes in the most important interdisciplinary conference dedicated to cities – World Urban Forum 6.
